The story of the Hospital Clown Troupe isn’t
about numbers.
Although we can tell you we have visited
27,500 children.
About 3000 children a year.
But what’s in a number, we have to ask ourselves.
And you.
And the parent of a child.
And the child herself.

What is the value in terms of dollars in relieving a child’s pain?
Of setting aside their worry?

Of enabling a parent, sibling, nurse, or caregiver to witness a child’s
smile … perhaps long absent from their face?

Laughter contributes to healing.
We know this.
Can we quantify it? Not really.
We just know and are told so by many.

So if we tell you this year we’d like to visit a few hundred more children.
We know it doesn’t sound like a huge increase.
We don’t measure our success in numbers alone.
Visiting one more sick child is enough to make a difference.
We’d just like to be able to make that difference more often in the
lives of more kids, one kid at a time.

Your contribution will help us immediately reach more children in more hospitals. With enough funding, we can expand to clowning in homes for terminally ill children who are spending their final days with family.

The Hearts and Noses Hospital Clown Troupe empowers children and, along with their families, helps them cope with the emotional and physical distress of a serious illness or disability.
